Subject: Arrogance
Dear Editor,
From Page 1 of The
Telegraph, April 24, 2006, a quote from
George W. Bush:
His arrogance is
showing and treason by any other name is
still treason. You do not need to
be a Harvard graduate to understand that he
could secure our borders and begin
deporting illegal aliens, one at a time,
if necessary. The best way to
tackle any complicated and difficult
task is to acknowledge the goal and then
proceed with all deliberate speed
to make it happen, one logical step at a
time. Rewarding 12 to 20 million
illegal aliens for breaking our laws is
not a logical step in solving the
immigration problem. That solution
was tried in the 1980's and just look
where we are today. We, the people, are
unwilling to give our country away!
If he disagrees with that, he should
resign. No amnesty, no compromises.

I
have written the following letter to
President Bush. I printed it on the back
of the form he sent me to facilitate my
contribution, and returned it in the
postage free envelope. Perhaps my
views are controversial but I should
not be shut out of the debate. Let me make
a fool of myself, if that be my fate.

Dear President Bush,
This is in response
to your four page letter dated
July 22, 2005
urging me to contribute to the Republican
Party. Since I began paying attention to
what politicians do rather than just
listening to what you say, I no longer
consider myself to be a Republican nor a
Democrat.
I am an American Patriot. As such I
do not understand why you are not
considered to be a traitor for putting our
nation at risk. For example, your leading
us into a war of aggression under false
pretenses, your willfully refusing to
enforce our immigration laws and your
selling out average Americans by strong
arming, blackmailing and bribing members
of Congress into passing CAFTA which will
erode our national sovereignty.
I have waited in vain to hear you
admit you made a mistake or to apologize
for
Iraq
. In the mean time American and Iraqi
blood still flows freely and our treasure
is being squandered at an astonishing
rate, while our country’s infrastructure
falls apart and our borders are wide open.
With all the money being poured into
Washington
by the elite fat cats it is hard to
believe you would solicit me. In any event
you will have to struggle along without my
meager assistance.
